Dr. Lam is Senior Consultant Radiologist with a special interest in women’s imaging. She obtained her fellowship from the Royal College of Radiologists, United Kingdom (FRCR) in 1990 and was admitted to the Specialist’s Register in 1998. She is also a member of the fellowship of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore (FAMS).
Dr Lam was with the KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital for more than 20 years and was a Senior Consultant at the Department of Diagnostic Imaging and Intervention for more than a decade. She is currently also a visiting consultant at KKH.
She has extensive experience in Gynaecological, Breast and some Paediatric radiological work. During her time at KKH, she was engaged in teaching the sonographers and radiological trainees. She was part of the teaching faculty of the FRCR residency programme.
For the last few years at KKH, Dr Lam has chosen to concentrate on gynaecological work and had performed procedures like saline sonogram and HyFoSy to evaluate endometrial abnormalities and infertility / subfertility issues.
Dr Lam was also active in continuing medical education and was a participant at several local and overseas courses and conferences. She was an invited speaker at many local ultrasound workshops and seminars, giving talks on topics pertaining to women’s issues, such as ectopic pregnancies, endometriosis, uterine bleeding and etc.
She was given the post of Adj Assistant Professor in Duke-NUS for her engagement in residency teaching and has also co-authored several articles/topics on women’s imaging.
